Who will thrive in 2023?

Who will thrive in 2023?

I hope you had a wonderful and restful holiday season! Did you spend any time reflecting on how 2022 was for your business or organization? This is still the perfect time for thinking about what went well, and what went not so well and how this can feed into your strategic planning. A review can help you see the strengths in your team to build on, and the gaps you may need to fill through coaching, training, or hiring.

My predictions for this year

As you’re reflecting, it may help to see the practices that I predict successful organizations will implement in 2023:

Organizations that thrive

…will be those that have a clear innovation strategy in place, and the processes in place that support a culture of innovation. Leaders will further develop the capacity for, and actively encourage, creative problem-solving.

Leaders that thrive

…will be those that coach their team in further developing critical thinking and decision-making skills. They will have the knowledge and skills for facilitating team discussions to creatively solve problems. They will recognize mistakes as being powerful opportunities for learning.

Teams that thrive

…will be those that are open to hearing new ideas, even if they make them  feel uncomfortable. They will be open to change, in the pursuit of continuous improvement. They will have the skills to creatively group-think through problems without needing their manager to facilitate those conversations.
